In April 2004, three long-time friends, (left to right) Charlie Goforth, Dan Downing, and the late J.B. Hunt set out to create a company founded in the spirit of cooperation, friendship and building high-quality compact and utility tractors at fair prices. | Montana Tractors Company began as an idea. It was an inspired idea that quickly gained the passion and common purpose of a handful of quality people with a lifelong love affair with tractors and the rural lifestyle. Selling the best, smartest, most advanced tractors is non-negotiable. But it's the beginning of a story that keeps getting better.
First things always first At every level, we make sure you’re treated like we’d want to be treated. Our goal is to create a company whose culture is the pride of everyone involved. Our own roots demand living up to life with that honor, and our legacy does, too. From dealers who drive hours to put a tractor in gear for a first-time buyer, to a parts department that gives new meaning to responsiveness, we live these values every hour of every day.

The Montana Covenant The final measure of a company is the spirit in which it serves. Our covenant with you is to measure every transaction, at every level, by the golden rule. This ethic is integral to our entire culture. And it’s infectious. Good will begets good will, with ripple effects going far beyond what we’ll ever see ourselves. We’ve got a lot of good people out to make you happy. |
Exceptional tractors for exceptional people Montana owners are a special breed. Customers like you choose a rugged, outdoor life full of fresh air, hard work and the simple joys of open spaces, sky and animals. Montana specializes in making sure your tractor, whether it is a sub compact, compact or utility tractor, is equal to the passion you bring to the farm and agricultural work you love.
The way we see it, we don’t want to sell you a tractor, we want to establish a relationship, and so when the time comes, your granddaughter will insist her first agricultural, farm, compact, sub compact or utility tractor is a Montana.
