MONTANA TRACTORS AND KUKJE / BRANSON SIGN LETTER OF INTENT
Parties exploring partnership in North American tractor market |
June 5, 2009 Saewook Chang, Vice President of Dongkuk Steel Mill Co., Ltd, parent of Kukje Machinery Co., Ltd and Branson Tractors, Inc., and Ted Wade, Vice Chairman & Co-owner of Montana Tractors, LLC, announced the signing of a letter of intent for potential joint venture including the merger of Branson Tractors and Montana Tractors to form a North American entity to distribute farm tractors in North America. Mr. Chang and Mr. Wade met this past week in Seoul, and after a tour of Kukje Machinery's tractor production facility and a meeting with its executive team, executed the letter of intent. The potential joint venture is expected to be a more powerful player in North American tractor market in coming years by consolidating distribution-based Montana and manufacturing-based Branson. By forming joint forces through extensive dealership networks of both companies, the new entity will be a strong competitor to other players in North America.

Guilherme Marchi Takes PBR Season Title |

Palermo, "Camo", and Montana in the background |

NOVEMBER 9, 2008 LAS VEGAS, NV
Well, it's official and it's in the books... Guilherme Marchi is the 2008 PBR Champion. Marchi actually wrapped up the world title on Saturday night, but to some fans' surprise, Marchi did not win the event title. That award went to Marchi's fellow countryman, Robson Palermo. Palermo won the title with a score of 87 points in the short go on Boyd Floyd Cattle Company's, "Camo". In addition to the Brazilians taking home the event and world titles, Arkansan Reece Cates was awarded the Rookie of the Year. Nineteen-year-old Cates completed his first World Finals with a 5th place finish.
Montana Tractors' Mike Lee ended up the World Finals with a 25th place finish, but overall Mike had an excellent year. The 2004 World Champ had a top 10 finish with 8th place in the Built Ford Tough Series standings. No doubt Mike is hungry for another world title and he is already focused on the 2009 season. We can't wait!

NOVEMBER 10, 2008 LAS VEGAS, NV Montana Exclusive by Brandon Bates, PBR Announcer
Well I was wrong about G. Marchi winning the average, and I don't think he won the most money in a single season, but he did win second at the event and he did win the world title. |
He dominated the rest of the field during the regular season and showed why he is the champ with a bull riding clinic in Las Vegas at the finals. As far as the finals in general…….we did set a record for the most 90 pt rides in a round. Also the most 90 point rides at the finals was more than doubled and when it was all said and done there were 40 some-odd 90 and higher scores during the eight rounds. On some nights you had to be 90 or better to just get a last place check. Even after my 6 year tenure with the PBR and even though I have literally watched over a hundred thousand bull rides in my life, it still amazes me that the human body can withstand the punishment of this sport. It amazes me that a man can actually will himself to stay aboard something so violent with only one hand... When you try to analyze it you can't, it makes no sense how it's possible. It's the ultimate testament to what a person can do when they really try. Just a thought, but maybe everyone needs a little bullrider in them.... -- Brandon Bates |
